review 1: Thank you Heather for doing it again... Once again you produce a wonderful book that I found hard to put down. If not for my kids I wouldn't have.. lol ...The Warlock King is the third in the Kings Series and it really makes you rethink your feelings towards Jason... If you have read the BBW series then you know what I'm talking about... He is not originally a favorite ... Events that happen in the BBW series shape him into the Warlock that he is in The Warlock King. As a Warlock he of course is not exactly good and once he finds his queen the game is on. He basically shows up to torment Chloe wherever she goes to show her that wherever she tries to run and hide he will find her and when he's not with her he has guards on her... Chloe is an Akyri and they gain power from W... morearlocks, therefore they generally align themselves with Warlocks to serve them and receive their power... Chloe refuses therefore is weak and is in danger if anything gets ahold of her that means her harm... An evil force is after all of the 13 queens... What does this evil creature want from them? Will it get what it wants from Chloe? Read and find out! You will not be disappointed.
review 2: I really enjoyed the parts of this book about the Warlock King and his Queen...they were truly in line with the other novels in this series. And, if I could have stopped the review there my rating would have been much higher. Too few pages of this novel were devoted to the Warlock King and his Queen. Rather too many pages were gifted to the backstory, and what seemed (maybe it will be resolved in future series books) to be wasted scenes. I hope the next installment will spend more time on the subject and less on the backstory...or if possible lengthen the book to share the limelight so to speak. less
