review 1: The first chapter really bored me to death and it made my impression on this book uninteresting so I stopped reading it for a few days. But later on I decided to read it since it would be a waste of money if I didn't. Then as the story progresses it became fun and exciting. Totally made for young readers. This kinda reminded me of the film Paranorman. It just have that certain kind of feel to it that's like Paranorman. All in all I would rate it 4 stars ;)
review 2: 2.5 stars:: So I really wanted to like this, but its writing style was just... so dry. So, so dry. I really liked the idea behind the plot, but it took over 150 pages for me to see any improvement, and I had to force myself to finish the book because I was so close to being done. There was very li... morettle dialogue to begin with, too many descriptions of just things and activities, and the protag was likeable enough, but it just felt too defeatist at times. less
