Cosmo Red Hot Reads from Harlequin

review 1: So, I've been totally loving these little Cosmo reads from Harlequin...I've read about 5 or 6 of them. This one had all the hallmarks of these Cosmo reads, but, for some reason fell a little flat for me. I can't really put my finger on why though. The writing style felt a little off, but again, I can't point to exactly what was of issue for me. The storyline was unique and engaging. Creative. The heat factor was definitely on the lower scale of things. I guess, maybe this felt a bit too much like a straight up romance story...slower moving and a bit more tame? Still worth a read, but, not quite up to the excellence of the other Cosmo reads I've read. Check 'em all out if you get a chance...they're so good!
review 2: 2.5 stars. With the exception of Sylv... moreia Day, not sure these Cosmo Red Hot Reads from Harlequin are too good. This book left me wanting more, because I liked the main setup, but ultimately I found it underdeveloped both in character and plot. I wanted more on the dating info website theme. The short blurbs about site questions at the start of each chapter were very witty; I really wish there had been more of that within the story. I couldn't buy into the way the guy met the girl, and then immediately was suspicious of her for the website. Not enough to go on, and it didn't make sense. I never got into their romance. Struggled to finish. The cover is pure eye candy and doesn't match with the story at all. less
