review 1: Nouvelle escrita por Mankell tiempo atrás, con vistas a una edición neerlandesa, permaneció inédita hasta que el autor dió por terminada la saga de Wallander. Su inclusión como argumento en la serie televisiva protagonizada por K. Branagh motivó al autor a publicarla en papel. Una historia amable, que funciona como extra o colofón de la saga de novelas protagonizadas por el detective diabético (cronológicamente la historia se ubica antes de El hombre inquieto). Si bien no se trata de una obra destacada en la producción del escritor sueco, da la oportunidad a los lectores nostalgiosos de volver sobre los personajes. Completa la edición una nota final en la que Mankell comenta la génesis de la saga y su acercamiento narrativo al género n... moreegro.
