review 1: absolutely romantic...!!! I didn't get it at the few first chapters, but slowly it made me really curious about what will happen. I love reading about how Evie and Alice sistery relationship going. I love reading about how Robert finally made his mind. Basically what appealed to me of this book is the castle (I'll propably read any book with stately home/manor/castle in it :D :D, I love regency era), but later I do interested in scottish reeling too (ha!, I had to search on you tube to get it), this book is really amazing, soft, delicate yet funny and romantic too..

... morehey probably wouldn't be so funny out of context. The protagonist, Evie, works in antiques. She's nostalgic and romantic, living in her fantasy world in Edwardian or Victorian times, where the people around her become characters from the past, and she imagines herself wearing a corset and classical music playing as she goes about her life. The cover of the book really doesn't capture the mood of the story. The cover should be darker, more magical and romantic, like a misty castle or moonlit moor. less

Sweet, British and rom-com-y, like if Notting Hill was a book.
