review 1: *I won this book via a Goodreads first read giveaway*I enjoyed this book. I felt that I really got to know the main character, Rosie. I was really engulfed in what was going to happen in her life. The only reason I gave it three stars is because I really wish there was more on her love life. Only the last few pages were dedicated to the relationship I had spent the whole book waiting for. Maybe there is a sequel there? I do recommend it.
review 2: I wasn't sure what to expect with this new novel by Hester Browne. I've read at least one of her books in the past, but I couldn't remember what I thought of her as a writer. The book is definite chic-lit, but it's light and entertaining and really very clean for a modern British fiction. The plot is somewhat un... moreique in that it's centered around a hotel and the events and food industry. I actually really enjoyed this book and made a note to check out other books by this author the next time I'm looking for something light and modern to read. less
