review 1: Lacey doesn't take guff from anybody. She learned some harsh lessons years ago and wont waver on her motto of being just herself, the good, the bad, and the ugly. When Lacey wakes up one morning and finds notorious bad boy Tripp next to her she has a moment of regret, she doesn't remember a thing and she doesn't want to strain her best friends wedding with sleeping with the cousin of the best man. What transforms after an initial blow out is a friendship that runs deep and quickly falls to love. Tripp is dealing with his own demons, while Lacey who thinks she has dealt with hers is left reeling when one second destroys everything they were building. Both Tripp and Lacey know they are each others match, but can they work through the issues with their past to create a n... moreew beginning.This was an emotional rollercoaster, one minute you are laughing the next you are shedding a tear. You will fall instantly in love with Tripp and Lacey, their road together is not easy but so worth investing in the journey. Dynamic read.
review 2: So what can I say about Tripp as a whole , book and guy , WOW !!I was assuming this would flow the same way Cree did , which would have been great. A journey of new love , family , HOT SEX , pasts and of course HOT SEX !! Tripp was of course all that and more. I would say it is my fave , but I will warn there were more than a few tough scenes to read through , many tears , I was seriously ready to throw up at one point !! But yes yes go read now and enjoyI enjoyed Lacey in book 1 so I was excited to get to know her better. Lacey's childhood was rough. Her and her mother suffered through some horrible times at the hands of her father. Lacey's suffering did not end when she left town , if anything it seemed to get worse. Piece by piece we slowly learn about it all and it is extremely heartbreaking.Tripp comes to Colorado to start over on his cousins farm. He has been battling many addictions with NO support from his parents. His father hates him and his mother never stands up to him. Tripp and Lacey both have demons , they are both strong willed and wounded. There is a spark and a real connection with them. Their journey in their relationship is not easy at all , they have trust issues and are both scared to feel for one another. The one thing that is certain , they are HOT , SUPER HOT !After a few guests join this crazy family for dinner their pasts come out to haunt them. Tripp freaks and Lacey is on a rampage. Before things can cool down they have to heat up. This part tore me to shreds I was physically hurting for everyone involved. It got worse before it got better too. Addictions taking over , families being torn apart , lives changing. Will there be a happy ending in this book ?? It really is touch and go for awhile.I cannot get enough of this family. The kids , the adults , the interactions and the amount of love shared. Though at times all of this leads to trouble it seems nothing can come between this family !! less
