review 1: This was a cute little story. There was nothing I really loved about it apart from the characters. Well, love might be a bit strong, but I thought they were sweet together. There isn't steam in this, but there are some sweeter moments. Both characters had self-confidence issues which added a bit to the story. This was nice and short and didn't take a lot of effort to get into. It was also free on Amazon when I picked it up, so that's a bonus.
review 2: Does what it says on the holly covered biscuit tin. However, I'd have liked the magical aspect of things to be explored in greater depth. I can live without detailed sex scenes and ostentatious description, but if a character is a **magician** then give the reader some magic (more than fixing a molding, for goodness
... more sake). Gene could have easily been a 'normal' man. His magic brought nothing at all to the story. It was cute, though. Strangely refreshing in its lack of sex scenes/bondage/duct tape/whips and chains...you get the idea. This is romance at its simplest, and all the better for it. less
