review 1: This was a light easy read. A girl and her mother go to Florence, Italy. The girl meets an Italian. And like most and all Italians he is charming and romantic. I think it captures what happens when one travels and the change one goes through along the journey. It was a bit predictable and at times the girl is a bit annoying. But the relationship dynamic between the mother and daughter is interesting and made me think about the relationship and interactions I have with my own mother.
review 2: I really enjoyed this book. It wasn't a dramatic page turner that I couldn't put down but it was a nice reflective read. I didn't understand the the purpose of the little Answer Lady parts at the beginning but some were funny and brutally honest. I enjoyed the mother's jou
... morerney as she found herself in Italy. The daughter was not my favorite. I found her very selfish and annoying. I found the ending a little abrupt and vague but at least we know what she chose to do. Overall it was a good relaxing read. less
