review 1: A Wrinkle in Time is a book I have always struggled to get enough of a start on to finish. Most recently, the audio version joined the unfinished list, with Mrs. Which's drawn out speech pattern was not sustainable to my ears! I came across the graphic novel at the library and decided to give it a shot. I was able to finish it pretty quickly with a broader sense of the novel that had eluded me before and had probably caused me to keep putting it down. I've not decided if I will continue with the series at this point, as I didn't feel thoroughly engaged.
review 2: One of my all-time favorites, now told comic-book style! Read it in two nights, as did my ten-year-old, who loved reading the original book last year. The book does a great job capturing all the ... moredialogue as well as descriptions with detailed cartoon drawings. I was very excited to hear about this book (Thanks, Marci!) and enjoyed every bit of it. I would still have kids read the original first, but as a second read-through, great book! less
