review 1: Interesting and I would highly recommend it to anyone who belongs to any church and has taken a leadership role. Even if don't agree with some of the finer points, it is important to know what is trending among those who have stopped attending church or want to attend, but are held back. I gave it three stars because I felt some of the stories were unnecessary and made the book a lot longer than it was. I think this book would be more accessible had it been shorter.
review 2: This isn't a prescriptive approach to having a missional posture, and I like that. Halter pushes and stretches the outer edges of what is acceptable in Christian culture for the sake of Kingdom moments. He shuns the formality and tradition of church structures. He is interested in bringin
... moreg the Kingdom of God to people where ever they are - pubs, bars, Super Bowl parties. Halters radical commitment to this end plays out in him making decisions that would cause many Christians to blush. This is the best book on incarnating a missional approach to ministry that I have read. I don't agree with everything but I would recommend it. less
