review 1: Hunter S. Jones strikes again with "Fortune Calling," a short piece set against the Nashville music scene. One of the most interesting things about this writer is the breadth and depth achieved. Each piece is tailored to the subject; each story has its own "voice."Having some experience with the Nashville music scene and players in general, I highly recommend this if you wonder why musicians love what they do and write love songs to prove it...Find this writer early and gobble up all every bit you can find. You'll be the better for it.
review 2: I loved this. My only complaint is that it ended too soon. I loved even the name of our protagonist and story teller, Dallas Fortune. What an awesome name! You learn about Dallas and the misfortune that befell her
... more as a guitarist, the love affair she had with a hot vocalist name Billie Joe, and you want to know even more by the time this short story reaches its end and Fortune's luck has taken a... very fortunate turn for the better. less

Never a fan of poetry before, I find Hunter's poetic style intriguing.
