He knows that they belong together - but with malicious gossip and ... moreculture clash coming between them, can he convince Holly that all he wants for Christmas is her?* EACH NOVELLA CAN BE READ AS A STANDALONE, or read them in order for more fun! Characters you loved from past books often return to delight again in this sweet romance series set in Summer Beach, Australia.- Playing for Love (Summer Beach Vets #1) ~ Sara & Craig - Playing to Win (Summer Beach Vets #2) ~ Ellie & Dan - Playing by Heart (Summer Beach Vets #3) ~ Pippa & Matt- Playing the Fool (Summer Beach Vets #4) ~ Charlie & Todd- Playing Santa (Summer Beach Vets Christmas Special) ~ Holly & Nick"What I liked about the novel....This was a real sweet romantic holiday read. I liked both of the two main characters Holly and Nick. The thought that puppies brought these two together was just perfect in this story line. In the end seeing Holly finally getting a great life at new place, a new friend and oh yes a new puppy presented a very good read. Would I recommend "Summer Beach Vets Christmas Special" for a holiday read?....YES!
review 2: Playing Santa is a Summer Beach Vets Christmas Romance- Escape Down Under book by H.Y. Hanna. It is a cute and very easy to read short book about Christmas, animals, vets, and dreams coming true. The characters are realistic and it has a Cinderella-like plot. Holly was raised by foster families and did not have many great Christmas memories. She was a kindhearted girl who went out of her way to help people. She went out of her way to help the Goldblums when they were stuck due to Mrs. Goldblum’s health. She refused pay so they flew her to Australia to sit in their home and care for their cat while they were out of town. Holly who had never even hoped to be able to travel was looking forward to her stay. She was even more thrilled when she found out the size of the home. Koenig was the cat she was to care for. He was quite independent. Her first morning found her looking for whatever was making a horrid noise. She found it was a kookaburra bird. She also found four abandoned puppies that were in dire straits. She immediately found the vet the Goldblums used for Koenig and braved driving on the left to get them some help. Nick Forrester was a vet who had taken over his father’s property business when he died. He had given up being a vet all the time and just became a locum to help out as needed and keep his hand in the practice. He was subbing when Holly brought the puppies in. Three of the puppies just needed care but the other was most likely going to die. Holly insisted he use all measures necessary to keep the puppy alive. She would find some way to pay him. He agreed to help but refused payment. The two became friends as it just so happened he lived next door to the Goldblums. Although Holly was somewhat out of her league with him, she enjoyed his company as he did hers. They went yachting one evening and things began to change for them. Could anything come of a romance between them. He was based in Australia and she was only here from the US for a visit. Would she be able to fit into his lifestyle anyway? Would the puppies all live? less
