review 1: Se avete adorato la Cattedrale del Mare, qui si arriva con personaggi assolutamente ben descritti e di maggior incisività, un affresco di Spagna che probabilmente pochi conoscono.Un libro di sofferenza ma che appassiona sin dalla prima pagina, città e luoghi ben descritti così come i personaggi e le ambientazioni sono così reali che sembra di esserci dentro.Lascio descrivere la trama ad altri lettori...preferisco evidenziare come un libro/romanzo storico possa essere anche un libro d'amore pur essendo ambientato in un periodo di sofferenza e di grandi crudeltà sia perpetrate dalla Chiesa che dai re di Spagna.da non perdere per chi adora i romanzi con ambientazioni reali storiche.Dedicato a quelle persone che ancora si emozionano con le passioni dell'a... moremore.
review 2: An absolutely stunning epic that kept me interested all through the read. The book contains a more real element to it and it seems as if it was meant to show that all of our choices affect us, not only the goals and dreams that we strive for.The book made me feel sad and melancholic at times, but the story reminds me to keep surviving and fighting on.In my personal opinion, La catedral del mar was a bit more interesting and enjoyable, but that might be just because the melancholic note of Hernando's adventures doesn't fit well with the excellent weather we've been having. Death and sorrow don't mix well with sunshine. less
