review 1: 4-4.5 stars This is a good start to the story of " The player" and popular football player , Cuba and the quiet ballet dancer, Dovey. You watch as #CockyCuba tries to get Dovey to even go out with him . She tells him they come from different backgrounds, different lives . That she doesn't have time to date a guy like him . He could and seems like can have anyone and she asks why her? Can't wait to see what happens in Very Wicked Things....
review 2: Great introduction to Cuba and Dovey, and Dovey's friend Spider. Cuba came off as a player in the first book, so getting to know more about his family and background in this short novel gives a greater insight to who the real Cuba is. Dovey seems like the opposite sort of girl that Cuba would be drawn to on the outs... moreide, but she has a real palpable quality that he can relate to that captures his attention. I also want to read more about the incident that is eating at Cuba on the inside in his book. less
