review 1: Rather than my heart sinking when I read the last page, it fluttered away with happiness. I'm glad that we were given some time of Ninako and Ren being together after such a long build up. I felt like it set a bit of a happy ending for them. Sure, they still had their own quirks that caused problems, but it was nice seeing them together. That said, Andou really didn't give up until the end and it made it feel more real. It wasn't happy endings all around. However, we finally saw the two people who seemed to fight for each other for the longest time finally making it into one another's arms.
review 2: I don't care. Sure it's teenage fluff, but it's well-done teenage fluff and I enjoyed this series. This review is for vols. 7-10. First of all, I appreciate that... more it wasn't dragged out for too many more volumes. Secondly, it was very satisfying to see Ren and Ninako finally get together and share a kiss, but that's in the bonus chapter, so I would have been disappointed without that chapter. Ninako finally has what she wants, but she still has anxiety, which is realistic and endearing. I like the teens in this book because Sakisaka didn't go for the obvious back-stabbing and misunderstandings that usually make up romances. Even Ando's devious ex-girlfriend who tells Ninako she'll destroy Ren and Ando's friendship if she goes out with Ren, is only doing so to help Ando out. It's still wrong, but her motive is actually to make Ando happy, since she mistreated him. It was a sweet series with a main character who is really pure of heart. less
