review 1: This was just awful. I thought I was reading one recommended by the podcast "Books on the Nightstand" until I was quite a ways into it. After a few chapters I checked the podcast and that was a different one. Since I always finish everything I start (bad... I know) I finished it. Its only redeeming quality was the Grimm Fairy Tales that accompanied it which I wanted to read. Otherwise I would give it one star.
review 2: An exceedingly interesting premise to say the least. Young Alice has her hands full in eliminating all of the corrupted in the world. So far she has done an admirable job. This volume contains the first three novellas in the series of what is to be twelve I think. In the first novella Alice is faced with eliminating a corrupted that is very
... more near and dear to her heart all while maintaining herself in high school. In the third novella she makes a deal with the devil so to speak that should make future stories less fraught with danger. I say less fraught because danger is a part of being the hero. less
