review 1: This was as the stars say just okay. It reminded me a lot of Sweets Dreams books and Sweet Valley High books all rolled into one but a bit more modern. I didn't mind the characters but it was very contrived and how come Germaine seemed to get away with anything and at the end for all of her viciousness did not have any comeuppance or consequences at all? That really left me disappointed. Piper's Mam was so annoying and the school was really rubbish not stepping in after Piper's humiliation - nobody was ever given punishment and it was so far-fetched and unrealistic that I only started to enjoy it a little towards the end when Izzy was kind of put forward more as I liked her the most.It was way too long as well. At least the Sweet Dreams books I read when I was 12/13 we... morere only about 140 pages and that was enough. Not brilliant especially for 3 writers collaborating - I would have expected a lot more!
review 2: Four friends decide to become exchange students and keep a FaceBook page rating boys they've kissed abroad (well, until one of the friends discovers she can't leave town). Perhaps if I were 13ish, I would really enjoy this novel - the idea of being allowed to travel abroad, the idea that multiple boys would want to kiss me, the idea of having a secret identity on an exclusive social media site, and the idea of exacting revenge on Germaine (b/c we've all had a Germaine in our lives, unless you WERE Germaine - if so, then shame on you). But, well, let's face it - I'm not 13ish. I'm 35. The story is simultaneously predictable and far-fetched, but not in a sci-fi or fantasy kind of way. Then again, teenage girls may enjoy living vicariously through one of the girls (preferably not Germaine). less

Put me in the biggest reading slump and the ending was so negligent of the whole entire book.

Pretty good, although a bit simply written. The story like was okay, but could be better.
