The Edge of Never
review 1: Ugh. No, no, and even more no. I downloaded the sample for my Kindle a while back and thought the premise sounded intriguing, so borrowed the book from the library when I saw it on the shelves. The first part of the book is okay, but Camryn (the main character) is so annoying, with her messy braid, insistence on believing she operates on a higher plain than anyone else because she was going to go backpacking around Europe with her high-school boyfriend before going to college - seriously, like she was the first person to think of this EVER - and calling other women sluts at what seemed like every opportunity.Andrew, the 'love interest' was slightly better drawn, but if the author wrote one more line of dialogue where he dropped the last letter of a word, I was going to thro... morew something. And his innate knowledge that Camryn was under threat at the bus station? Seriously? And then, out of nowhere, Cam decides that she's a sexual submissive? Really?Ugh. I hardly ever leave books unfinished, but with this one I feel no hint of remorse. It makes me angry, and life's too short.
review 2: This was an okay read the second time, but it did have some dull moments.I did like Camryn and Andrew in this story, but it took me a while to warm up to them this time. At the start of the story I didn’t really care about them all that much, but by the end I was quite invested in their story. The storyline in this was very slow to start. There were a couple of good sex scenes which livened things up a bit, but it did seem to take a while for the story to really get interesting. It wasn’t until the end of this book that things really got interesting, and once again I wanted to smack Andrew for keeping secrets.6.75 out of 10 less

The ending was a bit rushed. But I liked the whole travellig and falling in love thing.

2.5 stars. It moved a little too slowly for me.
