review 1: Wow...I don't know what to say, but you have got to read this book! (But make sure you read the first one first :-)I never knew words could be so powerful...sharp, like physical objects. Reading this, you just feel a sense of urgency, like you're running out of time and you have to hurry, before it's too late. At turns, I found myself laughing out loud at the craziness of it all (the insane conversations) and then my heart hurting for the characters. There was one scene that was so unexpected, if felt like running in the dark and slamming into a object you didn't know was there. Again, you get a sense of sadness and desperateness running through the book but, at the end, there's a twist another that makes it better.
review 2: I love Jaclyn Moriarty's inven
... moretive Colors of Madeleine series, which began with last year's A Corner of White. Part epistolary novel (the protagonists Madeleine and Elliot communicate through notes passed through a tiny crack in their universes), the story takes place in two worlds — ours and the magical Kingdom of Cello — weaving fantasy with astronomy and quantum physics, with an array of interesting, vivid, flawed, and real characters. It's witty and whimsical, yet surprisingly dark and poignant. When is book 3 out? less
