review 1: There were several things that didn't work for me in this book, but I'll only focus on the main characters. I didn't like the main characters at all. I feel most teens are smarter than the three characters in this story. Rob and Allie had no reason to distrust the adults in their lives which means they realistically would have gone to an adult for help as soon as they saw what they saw. For goodness sake, the local sheriff's daughter was a part of their tight little group. Also, on learning Juliette's dark secret, a true friend would immediately seek help for her. There are some secrets that need to be shared with the proper authorities, and Juliette's was just such a secret. I won't be reading the next book.On a brighter note, I listened to this as an audiobook, and the r... moreeader, Rebecca Gibel, did a good job.
review 2: I found at least four typos, the first on page 3. Regardless, it had a great concept – I love how they only go out at night, and the introduction to Parkour (though could all three of them be so good?). But overall, I felt a confused about what exactly was going on, why Allie made the choices she did, and I didn’t think it was very well-written. And I understand how you want your reader to continue with the next book, but to end it so unfinished was unfair (and unusual). less
