review 1: I almost didn't finish this one because the hero & heroine spent a good chunk of the book looking for reasons to dislike each other, to the point that it got annoying. I have to admit that I thought the whole female vampire ruse was kind of lame, too. But hoo boy, can Jacquie D'Alessandro write a steamy love scene that'll make you tingle! The ending made up for the characters' earlier stupidity, and I'm glad I read it because I had been looking forward to Logan Jennsen's story since he was introduced in earlier books.
review 2: I enjoyed this one. I really did. It was a sweet, tender love story about a lonely man, who found at last someone who can make him laugh and care for him. There was good chemistry between Logan and Emily, and I admit I thoroughly enjoyed
... more their kissing scenes. I just expected more depth in Logan's character; I didn't feel I got to know him as well as I hoped. And in the end, it didn't have the angst or depth Juliane's and Carolyn's (books #3 and 2# respectively) had. A nice read for those who've read the previous books in the series, or for someone seeking a simple, sweet, uncomplicated romance that's swiftly read (and perhaps as swiftly forgotten?) less

I am not big on historical romances, but this series was funny and entertaining.
