review 1: Six Days the Condor, written by James Grady, is a highly enjoyable, well written, original thriller. Sometimes, it is not easy to achieve those three criteria in the thriller genre but Six Days the Condor truly achieves all three and then some. The story starts quick and never gives up, an incredibly fast and ferocious read a true page turner. The detail is well penned and the characters are thoroughly thought out. The main protagonist, Code Name Condor, is just a pencil pusher for the CIA belonging to a branch that reads thriller novels to find anti American sediments or plots against the US. Condor, AKA Ronald Malcom, is not your usual well trained invincible hero of the thriller genre, which adds to the enjoyment of the read. His life is danger after he finds his co-wor... morekers brutally murdered, but he does not know by who, or who to trust. Condor kidnaps/falls in love with a woman and they hide out and circle DC in a paranoid frenzy. There are some underlying political elements and commentary but the book certainly doesn’t push a political agenda. Furthermore there are rather humorous moments in this book as well. The ending is original and well thought out not rushed or gimmicky I would recommend this book for anyone looking for a quick read or into the thriller, spy, or mystery genre.
review 2: A superb quick-read. The actions are classy and have blockbuster perfection. There are some really good strategies and tricks employed. The plot is an oft-used one,but the author has done his best to give it an entirely flashy appearance and I must say that his efforts paid off well. Unlike the usual thrillers, this one has class in presentation style. A must-read for thriller fans. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. less

Of all the plane ride books you might buy in the airport bookstore, this is the plane ridiest.
