review 1: This book is called "The President Has Been Shot!". The author is James L. Swanson, and he has also wrote a book called Chasing Lincoln's Killer, in the same genre of this book. Speaking of genre, the genre of this book is Nonfiction, and it's sort of a biography because it tells the lives of the killer, JFK, and other characters. It also includes quotes, such as "Hill threw his head over Jack's head". This book is about the life of JFK and his family, the killer (Lee Harvey Oswald),and government officials. I rated this book four out of five stars because it got confusing sometimes with using different names with explanation, but it was a book overall. You should recommend this kids who can't find a historical novel, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. I hope you can give this ... morebook a try!
review 2: I know this subject has been up countless ties, yet…James Swanson puts the right nostalgic spin that as you are reading, you are constantly wondering, "What could had been?" I did find my heart racing as events lead up to an event that none would ever forget. This is a great visit, especially with the end notes and followup in the end that direct readers to locations that will add to this event. I did have the Uncorrected proof, and would be interested to see how the final copy came out. Clear illustrations and details spent on being accurate and touching on the controversies without getting wrapped inside them. A very pleasurable read. less
