review 1: This series makes me want to ask a question: Is it actually possible to write a good harem book, or do harem books exist only to wet my panties? Because if the latter, I should just quit reading them because all my kinks are not publishable.Yeah right. So I say to 12093701 sub-genres out there.So the flaws of this series is actually very common to the whole MM harem sub-genre. You have about 150 pages and 5 guys, putting the average page count at 30 page per guy. This means that you get their ASL and not much more, and every guy is reduced to the bare nothing (John is a moody pimply redhead, Ben is a cheerful blondie). Add to the fact that half of that 150 pages will be sex and you'll get maybe 15 pages a guy... If you're lucky.If harems are your thing, well then, by all m... moreeans read this. I can't think of any other victim I might recommend it to, and unlike Gabrielle Evans' harem series, this doesn't even try to have a plot. If you're really just here for the kinks... Go Google some free literotica. It's better and freer.
review 2: 3.5 starsI really liked this book so to be objective I'm going to start my review with what I didn't like-Madigan's name and his shortening: "Madi" is a little too girlie for me.-Madigan's behavior: He starts ok, but gradually he becomes a Feisty woman in a Joyee Flynn way, so not cool, furthermore I had to remind myself constantly he was 28 because he certainly acted like only 19-20, and finally I love that he doesn't dwell on drama, but I would so have liked to read him give a very deep thought of what was happening, he accepted everything too easily, I mean your life is going through some impossibly big change, and you'll never be the same, show some shock or something like that. -The fact that once Madigan's gets it on with the angels all the second characters are forgotten, I mean, wouldn't Madigan's mother talk to him by phone once she reached his sister's home just to know how it goes?, and what about Madigan's friends? I thought they were cool, and what about the arranged date with the asshole lawyer?After that I'm going to tell what I likeThe personalities of the five angels were very defined and every single one gets spotlight, we come to see how slowly they grow close and how the relationship develops, it was very nicely done, every character had a different voice and way of reasoning, it made them feel more real.The sex was hot and sexy and thanks God, there wasn't much cliches, I actually was looking forward to the next scene which in me is very VERY rare considering I skip most sex scenes in any book I read.Every one of the five angels was attractive to me, usually when reading menage or more one or two of the characters appeal more to me than the rest, here I liked all of them, yes even Madigan thought I wish his girlie/juvenile behavior changes in the next books. less
