review 1: To begin with, I found it hard to grasp the way Jane writes. She is very witty and amazingly precise with her descriptive writing. As I went along, I began to enjoy her humour and the way she unfolds Imogen's story. Some parts were a bit too 'fictitious' but it genuinely made me giggle and I did want to read on. My first Jane Costello book which also, made me, kind of want to take another trip to Italy?!
review 2: Yet another corker from one of the best women's fiction writers around, The Time of Our Lives is an absolutely fantastic read. The characters are brilliantly developed, the storyline (which focuses on Imogen, her friends, and a 'VIP' holiday) has plenty of twists and turns to keep you hooked, and, as is usual for Costello's books, there are lots of la... moreugh-out-loud moments - so you may want to choose your reading location carefully! I've read every one of Costello's books now, and they just keep getting better and better. You really are guaranteed a good read with a Jane Costello novel - I've bought a few for friends and family, and every single recipient has become hooked. If you're thinking about buying this book, hesitate no longer - it will kick-off a long-standing relationship with an extremely talented writer. less
