review 1: There was lots of useful information contain in this book and it gives a more upbeat view of endangered species than other books. It talks about successes that have happened around the world when it comes down to endangered species and attempts to talk about some species that aren't usually looked at when it comes to endangered species. Yes, it does mention pandas but it talks about many others as well. An interesting read.
review 2: I really enjoyed this book. It made my cry, it made me smile, it made me think, and yes, it made me hope. I bought this book after hearing Dr. Goodall speak and I could hear her voice and her manner of speaking as I was reading. 100% recommend. I even joked to my boss that it has inspired me to quit my job and go out and save anima... morels!(My copy is "signed" with her thumbprint because her wrist was broken at the time!) less
