review 1: I really wanted to like this book much more than I did. The concept sounded really wonderful and romantic. I pictured grand gestures and romantic pursuits but instead it really flopped for me. I liked the characters individually but not really together. review 2: She's so much like me. I'd rather read than do anything else (except eat). I wish I was a librarian. I like a book where the man gets rejected. Wish I had dreams like that... Poor Trey! I really relate to Troy's wanting to preserve something for future generations. I love history. That is the worst, meanest judge ever. He has depression, you idiot! Also, her pare... morents sound delightful. NOT. So, does the Judge get his loan after all? I hope not. I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. less
