review 1: What's not to like about a book that covers so many genres? Janet Chapman writes good stories in her time-travel series. I really like the Hero, Nicholas. The Heroine was not easy to get a handle on...one minute she was over confident and the next minute she was a shrinking violet. If you read the cover blurb, you will be expecting to see how she helps Nicholas when he's in trouble. Do not give up! It will finally happen. It happens fast as does the 'happily ever after' ending! Note: I am not sure how his house fits in with the whole story, but it's there. I certainly couldn't live in it. I am really, really afraid of heights. I am almost caught up...two more books to go. Recommend.
review 2: Nicholas, Nova Mare's Director of Security, finds himself re
... morepeatedly rescuing Julia Campbell, a smart, innovative and independent housekeeper at NM. He finds himself attracted to her on multiple levels and she stands up to him while brushing aside his attempts to court her. He finally kisses her and she explodes passion all over him when she gives herself permission for a one night stand. She tries to keep it that way but when he kisses her again, passion explodes again. He gets called away to handle busiess for Titus and Mac (time traveling as the ancient warrior he is) for over a month while she takes care of his house and 6 cats making use of his extensive library. She finds she loves him and is carrying his child. He magically explodes back into her life injured and carrying his dead friend Sampson who died saving N's life. Jill nurses N and comes t understand he's Odin's illigitmate son by a Roman goddess. His uncles are out to kill him because of his birthright and his previous adventure was a trap set by them. He rescues her once again from Odin when she tries to get Mac/Titus to explain why N's in danger. She then witnesses an epic battle of Odin-Titus-Mac-Nicholas against his 3 Uncles and an ancient Roman Legion. less
