review 1: Pros: This was a fun, entertaining read like what I've come to expect from most of Janet Chapman's work. I enjoyed the hero's means of courting the heroine and especially liked the interaction between Alec and the heroine's protector, Nicholas. There was a nice balance of romance and suspense to keep things interesting. Kitty, the orca who could shift into a wolf on land, was a super creative touch.Cons: I found the beginning of the book hard to get into, so it was a bit slow going at first, though the story took off after that. I'm not exactly sure what a "smiled nod" is, but there were quite a few of them throughout the book.Overall, a fun novel to read.
review 2: Courting Carolina is a good romantic story. Not as awesome as some of the previous books but I e
... morenjoyed following the story of characters I had briefly met in previous books. I really enjoy all of Janet's books and no you do not need to read them in order. My first time reading them (yes I have reread them all many times)I started in the middle and then went looking for previously published books and read them as I found them. less
