review 1: I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway! Overall, I really liked the story and the characters. It is a romance, therefore the direction of events was no surprise. I do wish there was a little more mystery or challenge involved. I had never read an inspirational romance, and found that I really liked that aspect of the story. I also had no qualms in recommending the book to my grandmother, who is also an avid reader.
review 2: I love all of Janet's book. So glad they came out with this series. The characters always feel like someone you could get to know. Little Timmy is adorable! amazing how the faith of a little boy who is severly sick, can change the heart of a bitter doctor dealing with guilt. Alex can't seem to forgive himself for the accident his brot... moreher had, but through his nurse, Maryanne and Timmy, he learns about love and forgiveness. I even love the side story of Rocco, Alex's brother, learning to do things for himself and not being a recluse. Sometimes we have to learn things the hardway before we can fully appreciate what God has in store for us. Can't wait to read the next story in the series! I think I will be sad once they are done with it. It's like visiting a little piece of small hometown life. less
