Actual facts about the Redwoods are woven throughout the book and actually serve to help the character navigate through the forest. This creative book can be paired with books about forests and trees as well as books about the Redwood forest. It can also be used in an imaginative writing unit.

No book can impart how truly impressive these ancient giants are, but it is a credit to the author that he managed to give a sense of the awe he felt in their presence. less

Loved the art and the concept but found the factual writing a bit dull.
