review 1: .There is always a bit of pressure when you receive a book in a review swap. But that wasn't an issue with The Deliverer. From the very beginning, the book reminded me Steven Donaldson's Fantasy Books The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant; a series which I enjoyed start to finish. Jason's writing style is very engaging and the pace of the book moves along briskly. Like most such novels, it takes a few pages for you to get your bearings but the effort is well worth it.I don't want to give away any of the plot so I'm going to avoid the details but I think you will find the world that Jason invites you into fascinating and constantly surprising. I highly recommend this book and look forward to Volume 2. Ian
review 2: This book was a little hard for me to get into in t
... morehe beginning. IN actuality it was probably more like the first 1/3 of the book ... it just seemed to drag on and I couldn't get into a rhythm with it. But eventually I hit my stride and found it to be an enjoyable read overall. This book could have rated higher, but the beginning was just too cumbersome. While the beginnings usually can (and do) set the tone for most stories, fortunately it did not with this one. less
