review 1: It would actually be 3 1/2 stars. When I saw that this book was going to be focused on Kelly, my initial thought was "how is he going to take one of the most unlikable characters from the original series and make me like him?" As I was about halfway thru SLL, I realized he's not. I still found the character extremely unlikable through the majority of the book, although I'll admit I did soften towards him a bit at the end. But, I give credit to Jay Bell, it's a credit to his writing that I could really enjoy a story about a character I really didn't enjoy at all...
review 2: 4.5 stars.Like all the books in the Seasons series, this is a new look at characters we know and love from a new perspective. Kelly's. Jay Bell is an expert on writing well-rounded chara... morecters and he demonstrates his craft once again through Kelly. This book, like most in the Seasons series, made me laugh, cry, and made me sigh (in a good way!).I loved Kelly's love interest, the chemistry and the compatibility (so hooot) is very well done. The ending left me in pieces and I badly want to know what happens next.Bring back the bitchiness for the next book, Jay! less
