review 1: Short, sweet, hella sexy and straight to the point. This book is really all you can ask for in an erotic muli-partner novella. The sex scene in the pool between Kate and Mike and his crew of deliciously hunky men was so intense and smoking hot Inwill probably be replaying it in my fantasies for months. Loved how open all the men were in this book with their sexuality and exploring each other end the various wasps one can experience pleasure. It was actually quite beautiful and highly arousing. I just love a strong and sexy alpha male that can take what he wants without apology and is totally comfortable with his sexuality without reservation. But 5 men with those same attributes is just too good to be true. Which is why this novella is the perfect form of erotic fantasy th... moreat I can guarantee will have anyone with a pulse hooked from page one and wishing for more by the time you've finished reading. My only complaint is the same issue I have with all great novellas. They are just too short. Just when you start feeling a connection with the characters and becoming invested in their futures, the book is over. I loved Mike and Katie together and would have loved to see them explore their relationship. I literally read this book straight through in well under an hour. When I finished reading, I wanted more. Much much more. Luckily this is just book 1 in the "Powertools" series and I've already downloaded the other 5 books that come after. Hopefully we will get to see what the future holds for Mike and Katie and the other 4 guys because now I am thoroughly intrigued and need to know what happens next. A continuation of this story would very much be appreciated and almost necessary to my obsession with HEA endings in erotic romance novels. So I'm pleading my case here and now. I NEED more.
review 2: Errr, what to say about this book? It starts in the middle, like all this stuff has already happened but we don't get any of that. I'm presuming that's because either this was meant for some sort of short story contest or it's just meant to be 'lady porn' and you're not really meant to care either way what they were up to before. But I did care and I seriously missed the back story.It was basically just a couple of sex scenes with some random facts about fixing up houses and making lemonade thrown in. As much as I loathe to say this, truly I do, there were just too many men and so there was a lot of 'so and so put his leg there and then so and so put his finger here'. Honestly? I didn't have a clue who was doing what most of the time and trying to picture it just made my head hurt. Plus they all had super generic names, none of which I can remember now, but it was like Bob and Steve and John or whatever and so they were pretty much interchangeable. It was alright though. less
