review 1: I didn't go into this expecting much, I was reading it for a challenge. But I was very pleasantly surprised. This was a really fun, ridiculous, over the top read. I think I had a smile on my face for the entire first half. It did start to drag in the middle but even that was realistic to a degree. Then end is where is pretty much lost me. SO VERY RIDICULOUS. Pirates, spies, and family betrayal, oh my! It just became too much. But it was written well, and entertaining. I'll probably read book two.
review 2: At first, I was a little reluctant to read this, but I just got sucked in and fell in love! This was a hysterical story. Part action flick, part romance, part sports, it had it all! The writing was clever and witty and hooked me right away. I could not wait ... moreto see what trouble they both could keep getting into, but you do have to be willing to suspend your belief in reality for the duration of the story. I had no real problem doing so and thoroughly enjoyed this story. It was a fun read. less
