review 1: Jett and Brooke, what is there to say. Brooke is being blackmailed by Jett’s father and then she gets kidnapped by his brother. What people will do to keep you from the one you love. Jett does everything in his power to find her. He makes a deal and goes back to his gang; the one place that he felt was his family but left to pursue his career in his father’s company. We get a glimpse of the bad boy side of Jett and that just makes him even hotter than he was before.After everything they have been through they deserve a HEA. I just felt a little cheated about the ending, not what I was hoping for but it was something.

Reed, I give you a star because you wrote three books and I have written none, so that in and of itself is fantastic.But ... morefor me personally, this last installment did not bring what I hoped could be brought. I was hoping for revelations, clever twists and turns in the plot of this "club", but not much was told. My issues:1) The chemistry still wasn't there in my opinion between Brooke and Jett. I don't think the author truly knew their personalities. I thought Brooke made several decisions in this book that made her TSTL.2) Sylvie. The author was never consistent with her description. Yes she was flighty, flirty, life of the party, spontaneous. But then she was thoughtful even though in previous books she was basically described as a selfish party girl. Honestly I thought in book two we would find out she was in on it and knew Clarkson or Luccazzone the whole time! 3) The club was never clearly defined. We get a glimpse later on in the book of what we think it is about, but Jett's father cleary debunked that theory and said the club wasn't like that initially. So what was it? Why were he and Luccazzone tied together and why was Luccazzone's wife so against the club? Again, big puzzle pieces missing.4) The same descriptions. The same awkward phrases. The author tried to make her characters sound profound, but this is a romance. Not a literary novel full of monologues. This threw the reader off entirely.5) The gang. What. The. Crud. What was this gang, how were they a gang? How did Jett find it in the first place and then go from estranged son to CEO? Again, did not fit.Overall I was disappointed in the series. I know some people really loved it and that is great. Again I give the author credit for writing three books, they just did not appeal to me. I needed a clearer plot, outline, consistent characters, and a romance that was a romance. Not masquerading behind monologues of life philosophy that just do not fit. less
