review 1: I thoroughly enjoyed this book and although it is a standalone, I think I enjoyed it more because I have read the Surrender Your Love series. Brooke and Jett make a formidable couple together but are also strong and independent when alone. Brooke has to be able to stand-up for herself against Jett and others. Jett is one of the hottest book boyfriends he is a definite bad boy who has a good heart and is protective of those he loves. This book has a cliff hanger ending but it is an exciting ending and fits the storyline perfectly. I'm excited to see where J.C.REED takes this story.
review 2: Love this series however, I can see how readers who haven't read the other books in the series can be lost. Jett is a bold, confident and sexy alpha male who takes what he ... morewants. He stole my heart in the earlier books. In this book, he has me worried about his true intentions. Brooke is showing signs of a mental breakdown although rightfully so. How much more can one woman take? One thing is for sure, what's done in the dark will come to the light.... I can't wait till the next book. I think these two characters have a few more books on the horizon to complete their story. less
