review 1: Too right, this part of the story heats up and now we are getting into the mystery of the hidden pasts. Some things still don't make sense, there is something missing but we did find out so much more.Jett Mayfield is now up on a mantle with all my other book lovers, fantastic. Jett and Brooke are together and so freaking sexy it hurts to read sometimes, talk about hot, wow. There is so much going on behind the scenes and we get to see other sides to Jett and Brooke.There is quite a bit of sassy humour between them. Even though Jett likes to dominate in the Bedroom just as he has dominated in the Business world. I love the fact that he loves all things about Brooke and even if she gets angry he still can't get enough of her. It actually turns him on.We get more of Syl... morevie, Brookes best friend. Now we get to know friends of Jett's from the past. I feel there is more to this story that we are obviously building to for the 3rd book. The suspense is killing me, but I know all will be revealed.We have threats, possible murder, robbery, intrigue, mystery, innuendo's a plenty, romance and hot sex. Is there anything else that we need. Love it, definitely needs 6 stars.
review 2: bleeeeeeeeh!!One of the most moronic books I've read, it's impossible to like a story when you just can't stand any of the characters...Jett has the worst name ever!, I keep picturing Jethro from the Hillbillies, how can I go from that to the perfect male specimen Reed keeps trying to shove drown my throat...repeatedly?But Jethro has nothing on Brooke!, Jesus Christ, somebody slap her!, no no no, better yet, let me do it, I've earned it!... in one of the last chapters there was a break in so, of course!, Jethro pulled out his gun and went in to look for the intruder, he asked Brooke to stay hidden in the bushes but... suddenly, a gun goes off!, Brooke screams and jumps out of her hidding place, she runs inside the house and jumps into Jethro's arms while making sure his perfect body is, in fact, still perfect.Are you fucking kidding me?, seriously?oh! and, I don't know if you noticed, in the first book Brooke's ex's name was Sean... and here he's Cameron?Sweet Baby Jesus, thank you for all the amazing books and new authors I discovered on 2013... and for this new year 2014 we're about to start please, oh pretty please, enlighten some of the wonderful and not so wonderful authors with brand new ideas so they can stop going over and over agaaaaaain with the 50 shades combo. Thank you. =) less
