review 1: Brooke and Sylvie are off to Italy and it's fun to watch Jett stew a bit and follow her from afar -- technically it's stalking, but it's "fun" when we see him do it and know the outcome :-) Can't wait for book #3 in the series. The book covers are great for grabbing your attention, but the books are so much more than their covers -- which is always an awesome surprise. (I have frequently been let down in the past).
review 2: I´m glad I didn’t have to wait for the next book. “Conquer Your Love” starts with the prologue in Jett´s third-person perspective and continues with Brook´s first-hand perspective right after the end of “Surrender Your Love”.Both storylines continue and have an enormous impact on the story and the relationship of Brooke and Je... morett. After the heartbroken ending of “Surrender Your Love” the story changes the focus on the storyline a number of times in “Conquer Your Love”. At the beginning Brooke is focused on the real estate. After the breakup she tries to forget Jett and to move on. That isn’t easy with his presence in Italy. He wants to save their relationship, to protect her and to regain her trust. He forces her to deal with their problem and convinces her to give him another chance. While Brooke only had to deal with her trust issues in “Surrender Your Love” her trust issues are increased with her insecurities in “Conquer Your Love”. She thinks she isn’t beautiful, rich and successful enough for Jett and his lifestyle. It isn’t enough that Jett says she is all he wants. In the end both storylines come together when they try to solve the house´s mystery. In that part the storylines don’t have a negative impact on their relationships. On the contrary, it helps them to overcome their problems. The concept is coherent. I really appreciate the two storylines. Besides the love, sex and relationships there is a lot of action in that book. Even a car chasing scene is involved. It is a reason for Jett to open up about his past.There is one thing I will never get used to it. In dangerous situation men ask the women to stay behind them because they want them to be safe but women don’t do what men tell them. They always seem to do the exact opposite. They follow them in the danger. Can´t they stay out of danger? Either they go together with their men or they stay behind so the men haven’t to worry. Do women do the same thing in real life? Or is that just an author´s imagination to increase the story´s thrill? less
