review 1: This book probably has the worst cover ever! It looks like a cheesy after school special! It could very easily have half naked sexy guy on the cover based on its content. This is book 2 in the series & happens in sequential order so you really need to have read book 1 first. The author explains things that happened in book 1, but I really think it is better to have read it. Book 1 is where all these close relationships are formed.This book has a whole lot more angst. There is still the pull between Heller & Tilly and the will they or won't they. Tilly continues to end up in crazy & weird situations that had humor to the book. You won't find yourself rolling on the floor laughing, but you'll get a little chuckle here & there.I would give this book 3,5 stars. I enjoyed it an... mored I would definitely recommend it.
review 2: Well.... This series is very difficult to rate. It is so well written that it is addicting. I can't seem to stop reading them. On the other hand I really don't like Tilly. She is an idiot. She is a trouble magnet. I would never be friends with her because, frankly I wouldn't survive the friendship. Most everyone she has come in contact with has been injured or killed or fought or something unpleasant happen to them. Not to mention how injury prone she is. Sometimes she is funny. She has poor judgement, makes rash decisions, doesn't seem to know when to stop drinking, is kind of a slut/bimbo and is very dramatic. I don't dislike her. But I don't like her either. I like everyone else with the exception of her family. I even like Heller. There are bits of the story that are contrived, and my irritation with Tilly that keeps me from rating this 5 stars. less
