review 1: not a bad book. not on a par with dean koontz or stephen king, but pretty solid reading. it's hard to make paranormal fiction believable, especially when working in an established genre. this is a noir detective story with some rather dramatic twists and turns. the characters, for the most part, are interesting and believable, though at times their actions and feelings made no sense to me. so with a few reservations, i would recommend this book to those who like creepy mysteries.

... mored had to quit reading because I was in bed and could hear every noise in the house. Very well written, truly a horror masterpiece. I will look for more from this author because I believe he has a lot to offer to the genre. less
