review 1: I am not a hard sci-fi lover. I like more action and wonder, without the wonder making me wonder just what the hell I just read. And while I didn't specifically feel that way while reading this book, the first half for me was at times tiresome to read with detailed conjecture on how some space creature lives it's life in sex, communication, food, defense, etc. Thankfully the second half didn't focus as much on this and the book picked up the pace. I can see how some others would like this much more than I, but just not me. I think the story itself was structured extremely well, though it could have had a bit more character development. I think this could make a better big-screen adventure than book.
review 2: This was an interesting sci fi book. They foun
... mored life on one of Jupiter's moons, Europa. They seem very violent, or are we just communicating wrong?! The beginning was pretty intense, and I was running right along with the main character Vonnie! hehe! Then the middle was a lil bit slow for me, but the ending got interesting again when they learn how to communicate with the aliens! But anyway, this book wasn't too bad! less

Interesting aliens. The tech was too magic for my tastes (the term Hollywood-style AI came to mind).
