review 1: An interesting idea, somewhat successfully pulled off. The editors did a good job of taking various authors with different styles and combining their writing into two (mostly) coherent stories.Jeffrey Deaver starts off each story, then hands over subsequent chapters to some of the best modern thriller writers. I'm sure it was a fascinating exercise for these skilled writers, and I'd be interested to learn more about how it all worked. Honestly, they could have added a more thorough introduction that delved into the process. As for the stories, they're pretty good overall. However, each one ultimately gets bogged down in too many twist, turns, double-agents, triple-agents, quadruple-agents... I lost count of how many times people switched from bad to good and back again. Sur... moreprise twists are always welcome in thrillers, but there were just too many here that stretched credibility. The idea was good, but this may be a case of too many cooks spoiling the broth.
review 2: This was an interesting take on story writing. I have loved Jeffery Deaver for many years and I always like his work. It continuously keeps me guessing and I never know what's going to happen. Both of these stories were very interesting, with concepts that I haven't encounter really in the books I've read. While I enjoyed, it was sometimes a little frustrating with the obviously different writing styles. You would just get used to one, and someone else would take over. I would be interested in reading another story written like this, however. Especially one with my favorite author overseeing everything. I think it's something I can get used to. less

I think this book is great and I love how foreign countries are included and the concept of music.
