review 1: Another utterly charming Star Wars book from the talented Mr. Brown! This one takes the classic Goodnight Moon as its starting point and brings it into the Star Wars universe. That's merely its inspiration though (seems to be, anyway); this is, by no means, a parody. Brown's artwork is a lovely combination of detailed and cute. It appears simple on the surface, but there's some incredibly well-researched detail in there if you take the time to look. This is a book sure to please parents, kids, and Star Wars fans of all ages.
review 2: This book is very different than the previous two in the series. This one is the most aimed at children, being a picture book. It is a good night themed bedtime storybook with one sentence per page. There are a couple of "Goo
... morednight Moon" type pages but the story does have a little plot as Vader tries to get the twins to bed by reading them a bedtime story. It's not particularly funny, though perhaps slightly grin producing. The book covers characters from all various Star Wars movies, so is best for the complete Star Wars fan. The art is just what we've come to expect from Jeffrey Brown by this point and if you are a fan of his, you'll want to add this to your collection. less
