WWW Wednesday [4]

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Books to do a little reading plan update.

The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading:

The Nazi Officer’s Wife is amazing so far. I’m about halfway through. And it is so amazing! Review probably coming next week!

I’m only a few chapters into Firebolt. It started off pretty strong, but seems to be heading downhill pretty quickly. Review also coming eventually!

Recently Finished:

Ready Player One sucked me in from the beginning. It was so hard to put down – it started off with super high stakes, and just kept raising them. I really liked the surprise about Aech at the end, but it kind of made me wonder why only characters of a certain demographic (I’m trying to avoid spoilers!) changed/hid behind their avatar.

Frankenstein was not what I was expecting. And I was disappointed. Review coming Friday.

I love how badass Lada from Now I Rise is. I mean, she’s based off a real male historical figure, so her story is by default going to be a bit more exciting (for something set in that time period, anyway). But her character in the book is still so strong, it’s really cool to read. I’m very curious/excited to read what happens next!

10th Anniversary is the 10th installment of The Women’s Murder Club. The crimes weren’t as murder-y as usual, which is kind of nice, but also kind of slower. The main characters story lines got more exciting though, which I guess makes up for the slow crime.

Up Next:

I’m hoping to finally get back to The Broken Eye in this next week or so, and finish it before it’s due back at the library again.

I really don’t remember what The Nix or These Violent Delights are about, but they’re on the top of the stack, so I’m gonna read them!
