review 1: Great book.A Highs school boy is invited to an after practice party. He is manipulated into ging where he reluctantly takes a beer. Just as he recieves it his seminary teacher walks by and sees him with it. Totally embarrassed he talks to the teacher who he tells he does not have a testimony of the Book of Mormon anyway. The seminary teacher says he will not report him if he will go see "Laden" and he gives him a card with the address. He has to go as if he gets reported he will not be able to play in the big game tomorrow which will have all sorts of scouts there. Heading into the underground tunnels of Salt Lake City his world changes. He is taken back in time. Without a spoiler, he meets people that help him to develop a testimony.Great read. review 2: I'm not a big fan of LDS fiction, but I decided to give this book a try because I've enjoyed other books from this author. At first it had a Tennis Shoes Among the Nephites type feel, which isn't bad, just done before. By the end of the book, however, was completely immersed in the story and wanted more. (It's always good when a story leaves you wanting more.). Savage has avery reader friendly style, telling a good story without drawing attention to his writing. If you ver meet him in person you'll see how well his voice comes through in the text. All in sll, I really enjoyed this book. It is uplifting, entertaining, and well worth your time...even iF you aren't "in" to LDS fiction. less
