review 1: I usually review just the writing because I don't always like the plot or am in love with the storyline, but I am not the author. However, I do not get how this book was actually accepted by the publisher AND it is getting good reviews. The editing is NONEXISTENT. Really, almost every page there is something either not in the correct context, spelled incorrectly, or the words are repeats. The story is not even close to believable. Yeah, this is fiction, but you are reading about people. You are told that the main male lead is a mean biker/enforcer for this group, but he might as well be playing at that for all the "mean" things he does. Our female lead is such a doormat. And, then author throws in religious fanatics AND shifters? The madness goes on, if there is one refer... moreence to this MC group being all bad, but really "good" underneath, you read it almost every chapter! Oh, and they make their money illegally, but again, they are really doing something good too!Sorry, this was so not worth the money. This publisher and author need to have a sit down and revamp this series.
review 2: I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.I am a huge fan of Jenika Snow, especially of her MC stories. I devoured the Grizzly MC series and couldn’t wait to read the spin off series The Brothers of Menace MC. Malice’s Possession, the first book in the series, turned out to be sweet and charming but wasn’t as exciting as the books in the previous series. We were first introduced to Malice, the sergeant at arms for The Brothers of Menace MC, in the Grizzly MC series. Malice is your typical romance novel biker; hard edged but with a heart of gold for those whom he loves. That list includes his son Dakota and his biker brothers, so when another chapter of his club needs his help, he is there for them. It’s when he’s visiting that other club that he comes across an obviously injured woman whom he feels an immediate connection to.Adrianna hasn’t had an easy life, but she has finally reached her limit. After escaping her abusive boyfriend, she is rescued by Malice. She finds herself falling in love with the sexy biker and has no problem going back with him to his home town when Malice asks her to. Malice feels very protective of Adrianna but he’s worried that he’s not good enough for her.I loved the characters in this book from the leads to the secondary characters. Ms. Snow has created quite the cast of differing personalities that somehow mesh together to create a family. I love when a hardened biker guy finds his softer side because of a woman. I have been cheering for Malice to find love ever since we were first introduced to him. Adrianna is the perfect woman for him and I was so happy for them both. But as much as I loved the characters, I just didn’t love this book. There are two main reasons that I didn’t find Malice’s Possession as exhilarating as other Ms. Snow books. First of all, there was little surprise for me in the book. Now normally I love the fact that these MC biker series follow a formula. It’s like being wrapped up in my favorite blanket – I am warmed and comforted by knowing how things will play out. But there is always some dramatic twist that separates each story. That twist wasn’t there this time and I really missed it.The second problem was that for the first time in a Ms. Snow book, I was distracted by the many typographical errors. When I have to go back and reread sentences several times in order to ensure I understand what I’m reading, then I am pulled out of the magic of the story. This has not been the case in the other books that I have read by Ms. Snow but there were just too many mistakes to overlook. The fact that I didn’t love this book will not keep me away from the series or Ms. Snow’s other works. I will still be reading the Brothers of Menace books because I have grown to care about them throughout the two MC series and want to see them all reach their happily ever after. Not every book can be an author’s best and I am still a fan of Ms. Snow even if I am not a fan of Malice’s Possession. less

I liked the plot but the ending just ended abruptly...not even a good cliffhanger.
