review 1: Out of the trilogy this is the best book out of the three. There is more romance, magic and definitely more action. Like the second book it continues right where the last book left off. It expands even further into Celtic mythology. Introducing more Gods/Goddesses and even more new creatures. Which made my heart leap, introducing a few of my favorites not yet covered in the other two books. Meghan has made her decision to move to the Otherworld and finds herself in the middle of a war between the Morrigan and those she holds dear.Cade is on the mends. Meghan's mortal family finally knows her secret. Some might see the beginning of the book as a little slow. I felt that she needed to say goodbye to her mortal family and her friends before starting her new life in t... morehe Otherworld. In this book she will learn even more secrets. Dangerous secretly that can affect everyone she loves mortal or not.She will find that the Morrigan has not forgotten her from the last book. That she has her eyes set out on revenge. Before she knows it she will discover that she's in the middle of an epic battle. Will she be strong enough to prevail? Is she willing to sacrifice everything to save those that she cares about even if it means giving up her life? Some may see Meghan as weak in this book. I think without her mortal family and friends. That she looses some of her confidence, being alone and on her own for the first time in her life. With the knowledge that a Goddess will stop at nothing to kill her. Personally I think she handles it better than most young woman would. On the other hand we finally get to know about the mysterious Cade. Which will make you fall even more in love with him. This book is the perfect ending to the series. It ties up all the loose ends, yet leaves it open for possibly future books....hint....hint....
review 2: I'm typically interested in more adult novels but I'd already read the first two books in the series and wanted to finish reading the trilogy. I really liked this last book and am glad I finally picked it up. Megan finally grows up a bit in this book. There's definite romance without being overt or taking away from the story and there's violence and battles without being too graphic. I love the world that's created in the book and couldn't get enough of the detailed descriptions of the people and places in Eile. It almost leaves me wishing there were more books in the series although the story is wrapped up pretty nicely in the book. It was a great book to get lost in for a while. less
