review 1: I liked this book. It was short, sweet, and explained exactly how the first shifter sword came about. Only thing I can fault is why is there still a bloody love storyline?! Can just one book not mention anything about a Fae or Shifter falling in love? Please?Note: I've just realised that this is a prequel to the Shifters series, but I've read a few of the other books already so I guess that's why the love storylines bother me so much...
review 2: I liked this, for me this gave me a short introduction on the shifters and the fae to get me interested in reading the series.I liked Niall. He was protective and willing to do anything for his children. I also liked that when he knew what he wanted he was willing to go and get it. I also could understand that he was l... moreonely after he lost his mate.I didn't like Alanna at first but by the end I did. I liked that she carried similar traits to Niall and wanted to try and protect everyone she cared about even if that put risk to herself.overall I did enjoy this. less
